What is mental health?

- mental health is the thoughts and feelings inside your head. These emotions are what makes you feel happy or sad and its important to look after your mental health espesically as an adolescent because alot of adolescents struggle with thire mental health and they could possibly end up developing a mental illness such as depression , or they could end up becoming suicidal. 


Can you prevent mental health problems? 

- Everyone can develop and suffer from a mental health condition ant any time in thire lifes. But if you are noticing your feeling down alot more than usual or maybe youve lost intrest in things you used to enjoy, its important to reach out to someone you think could help you such as a trusted adult, or a doctor. 


Are there cures for mental conditions?

- There isnt really a specific cure for each mental disorder but there are ways you as an individual could help yourself to feeling happier and more full of life such as anthing you find intresting or fun. This could be a sport or a hobby such as art or music. 


What do i do if im worried about a friend? 

- If your worried sbout a friend or someone you know, it depends on the person but for most people it is helpful to speak to them about whats going on and just giving them an ear to listen too, or you could try to give them some advice. For a fried if they are feeling low, try to make them feel happier, this could be going out with them after school or making them laugh. If the sitiation is more seriouse such as thye are at risk of hurting themselves or other, you should seek profesional help such as going to a trusted adult or a doctor. 


What causes mental health problems?

- There is no specific reason why people develop mental health conditions, but alot of people believe its to do with an individuals upbringing, such as if there are/were close to their parents or siblings, if they got abused or neglected, social interactions like if they have people they can talk to and hang out with so they dont feel isoclated. If they got/are getting bullied in school.  Enviromtnal, this could be the area that they life in or theire actual house f its messy it could have a negative impact on the individuals living there. Or it could just be genetic.
